Head Coach: Benny Palmer

Graduate of William Jewell College, in Liberty Missouri. Coach Palmer played four years of college football, earning the starting quarterback position in 2006 and 2007. Upon graduation from William Jewell with a degree in Business Administration, Coach Palmer decided to change career paths and enter into education. Attending the University of Central Missouri, Coach Palmer received his Master’s of Teaching. Coach Palmer completed his Educational Specialist in Administrative Leadership from Arkansas State University in 2019. Coach Palmer spent the 7 season at Odessa High School, in Odessa Missouri where he ran the Middle Schools At-Risk Program. He served as the associate head football coach and and offensive coordinator under two different head coaches at Odessa. In 2015, Coach Palmer helped lead the Odessa Bulldogs to a Class 3 State Championship appearance, finishing runner-up. In 2017 Coach Palmer left Odessa for Raytown High School where he served again as the associate head football coach and offensive coordinator. During the 2017 season the Raytown Blue Jays shattered a number of school records on offense. This is Coach Palmer’s first stint as a head football coach, his 2nd Season with the Griffins. Coach Palmer is originally from Kearney High School in Kearney Missouri, where he was apart of two high school state championships in 2002 and 2003. Coach Palmer has been married to his wife Molly for four years, they have one daughter named Quinn who is three years old and a son named Max who is four months old. Coach Palmer lives in Grain Valley, Missouri.
